About the Name

Redactus is Latin for “brought into order.”

Our motto, Mundum in ordinem redigens, means “bringing the world into order.” The name and the motto come from the same Latin verb. The motto is paired with our slogan: To curate your back office.

The phrase chosen for our seal is Corpus Redactum, “the body brought into order.” It is written Redactum because the Latin word for body, corpus, is neuter.

The server is called Tabularium: the tabularium was Rome's record office, the building where the state's records were kept. The smart workers are the Officium: an officium was the working staff of a Roman official. Together they are a record office and its staff inside your own office, run from your headquarters.
